Classical music audiences generally lean towards a more mature demographic, and we are proud to report that around 87% of our cherished audience members are 65 or older! Given that such a large portion of our audience already belongs to this vibrant, seasoned group, we are unable to offer a senior discount at this time. However, if you live in a senior living center or retirement community, or belong to another group or organization in the area, you and your community may be eligible for a group discount.

Yes! The Bach Consort offers discounts for groups of 10 or more for most individual performances. For more information, email patronservices@bachconsort.org or call 202.429.2121. Please note: Group sales discounts may not be combined with other discounts (e.g. subscription discounts, promo codes).
No! The Washington Bach Consort does not charge ticket handling fees. The price you see is the price you get! Our no-ticket-handling-fee policy fosters accessibility, ensuring all can enjoy Bach’s music without financial barriers and prioritizing patron satisfaction.
While it is a rare occurrence, Bach Consort performances do occasionally sell out. We cannot guarantee tickets will be available in person for all performances, so we recommend buying tickets in advance in order to guarantee a reservation.
If a concert sells out in advance, you may purchase a spot on our waitlist that will be automatically exchanged for tickets if they become available. If you don’t make it off the waitlist, your purchase will be fully refunded.
Day-of, there is a strong possibility of walk-up tickets becoming available due to ticket donations. A separate wait list will be held at the opening of the Box Office and tickets will be sold 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance or as they become available.
Refunds are granted only in the case of performance cancellation. Ticket purchasers will be contacted directly by Washington Bach Consort and given the option to:
- Apply the amount paid for you ticket(s) to a credit for future events in the same season,
- Donate the amount paid for your ticket(s) to Washington Bach Consort, or
- Claim a full refund
