During Bach’s lifetime, opera was flourishing in Italy. Composers including Antonio Vivaldi were exploring new musical techniques, producing vocal and instrumental works full of energy and drama. Discover why Bach was so inspired by the music of his Italian contemporaries in a concert featuring soprano Laura Choi Stuart and the Consort orchestra.

Subscriptions are currently on sale to the general public. The 2018–19 season, opening Sunday, September 16, features four subscription concerts at National Presbyterian Church and three chamber series concerts at Live! at 10th & G.
We’ve made it easier than ever to purchase a subscription series of 3 concerts or more at any time by clicking here or by calling the office.
A subscription to the Washington Bach Consort allows you to enjoy performances throughout the season, including the Series at National Presbyterian Church and the Chamber Series at Live! at 10th & G, at a discount off the single ticket price.
Subscribers receive first choice in seat selection.
Wish to bring guests? Subscribers may purchase additional tickets throughout the season at the discounted subscription rate.
If unable to attend a performance, subscribers may exchange tickets for another concert during the season.
Prior to a performance, subscribers may return tickets marked “donated” and receive a receipt for tax purposes for the value of the tickets.
Subscribers will receive an invitation to our season preview, featuring insights, musical illustrations and refreshments.
Four-concert and three-concert subscriptions are available. Please note that there is no elevator to the balcony. The church has ample free parking. Concerts include admission (limited space) to a pre-concert lecture.
