The Washington Bach Consort’s beloved subscription series offers four large-scale concerts in a majestic space, National Presbyterian Church, featuring our world-class vocal and instrumental ensembles, with an array of star soloists. Before each performance, take advantage of our “Talking Bach” series, full of insights about the music and presented by the renowned Bach scholar, Dr. Michael Marissen. After the concert, join us for a complimentary reception where you’ll meet the artists in person. NPC has ample free parking and is located within walking distance of the Tenleytown Metro.

This holiday season, join the Consort for a performance of seasonal motets, including J.S. Bach’s masterful work for double choir Komm, Jesu, Komm! This concert will display the virtuosity of the Consort’s acclaimed chorus as they perform motets by Bach and other Baroque masters of the form.

Prior to a performance, subscribers may return tickets marked “donated” and receive a receipt for tax purposes for the value of the tickets.

Subscribers will receive an invitation to our season preview, featuring insights, musical illustrations and refreshments.

Four-concert and three-concert subscriptions are available. Please note that there is no elevator to the balcony. The church has ample free parking. Concerts include admission (limited space) to a pre-concert lecture.

During Bach’s lifetime, opera was flourishing in Italy. Composers including Antonio Vivaldi were exploring new musical techniques, producing vocal and instrumental works full of energy and drama.
